Awareness Talk on Polio
On 18 October, 2023 our club organised a awareness talk about polio in senior secondary school Khanyara. Dr. Vandna District Programe officer from CMO office Kangra told the students that polio is a debilitating and life threatening disease. A virus that can affect the brain and spinal cord. The polio can cause paralysis or even death. She also told the students that polio is transmitted through contaminated water or food or contact with an infected person. A polio is easily preventable by the polio vaccine. About 170 students were present in this talk. Thanks to Dr.Vandna , Principal and rotarians present during the talk
