Vipan Bhasin is a second generation professional Lawyer. His father late Sh. Chaman Lal Bhasin was a Public Prosecutor and a well acclaimed Lawyer of Amritsar. Born on 10.07.1959 in Amritsar, Vipan Bhasin graduated in Science from D.A.V. College, Amritsar and obtained his Law Degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He started his Law practice in March 1981 and has represented a number of reputed institutions and individuals in various complex litigations with success. He is also appointed as Special Public Prosecutor by Government of India to represent Income Tax Department in its prosecutions. He is a member of Ethics Committee of Punjab Government Medical College, Amritsar. He is associated with various charitable organizations, trusts and educational institutions. He is widely travelled and has visited USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, UAE, and Pakistan. He has been the visiting faculty to Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala. He has been selected as District Governor of Rotary District 3070 comprising of parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Married to Rita, a home maker, they have two sons who are married and settled.
